I totally like this place! It's a pretty weird combination of British and Indian food but damn..
I went the first time because I was craving for fish and chips and oh my..they are so good. I mean, a lot of places tend to have such thick batter and VERY oily fish but these guys don't. And the fries are so thick and crispy that it makes me so hungry right now just to think about it.
The second time we went here was for the curry buffet night which is at 5pm-9pm on Thursdays. I did not have a high expectation for this but..omg they are so good! My friends had third plates even! I would totally come back for this. -

I wanted to like this place but I was disappointed. Great place to come for a pint. Nice looking English pub but bottom line. The food is bland and it's very dirty. The whole place needs a good scrub down. The washrooms were disgusting.
Service is not friendly or welcoming at all.
As I said come in for a pint but I would not return to eat -

A lot of choices of food and beer. Great service. Nice atmosphere. We had the whistle burguer with sweet potato fries and chicken curry, both delicious.

All the food I've tried here has been good but what brings me here is the selection of Indian food. The vindaloo is amazing and getting to enjoy it in a pub style atmosphere tops it off nicely.

My favorite restaurant/pub in Guelph. Cozy, warm and friendly with a fantastic menu and good prices.
They do great curry dishes and even better chicken pot pies. I've tried their wings, burger, chicken pot pie and chicken curry and it is all made in-house.
Great selection of beer and a hot chocolate or coffee next to the fire place on a cold winter evening is nice, if you can snag a seat near it.
The only downsides are the fairly obscure entrances and the very sketchy washrooms. The men's (and, I'm told, the women's) washrooms are small, outdated and kinda scuzzy, which is completely out of sync with the nice ambience and high quality feel of the rest of the place. It's definitely not a deal killer, but it is something.
Other than that, this is the best pub in town!
